Booking an
event
booking form (pdf)
Initial enquiry
Contact the event leader or the booking contact person by
phone or email (this
information is given in the full programme available from the membership
secretary) to
find out:
1. Whether the event is still as advertised.
2. Whether there are places left.
3. Whether it is suitable for you.
Please advise them of any relevant medical conditions. They will advise you
of the relevant booking procedure and ask whether you need or can offer
transport.
Transport
Those attending an event are responsible for getting
themselves to the venue. As far as possible the event leader will try and
link up people for travelling purposes, but this may not always be possible.
However, a lift from the nearest train or coach station may be so please
discuss all options with the event leader.
Cancellation Policy
Please inform the event leader or booking contact if you have
to cancel, as they may be able to arrange for some one to take your place.
If you have booked through the CRC, then the CRC policy applies:
1. Members should advise the event leader (or bookings contact if there
is one) as soon as possible if they have a need to cancel.
2. If you have to cancel your booking a refund can only be given if CRC
can fill your place or obtain a refund for the accommodation.
3. Applications for refunds should be sent to The Club Treasurer (see
newsletter for address etc.).
4. The Committee recommends that if you are concerned about this, you
should have your own insurance.
YHA Membership
You do not have to join the YHA, but it is a good idea to do
so. If you book with the CRC before the deadline, you will be covered by the
club’s group YHA membership. However, if you book independently or wish to
extend your stay, you must be a YHA member or pay a supplement. You can join
the YHA at any hostel or by calling 01629 592700 or by
going to www.yha.org.uk.
