CHAIRMANS CHATTER
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Eph. Ch1v3.
At church we have been studying this, and `unpacking what `every spiritual blessing means. Obviously here I have not got the space to do this, but read the following verses yourselves, and see what God has blessed us with, and will continue to bless us with, as we carry on in our walk of faith with him.
We need to be reminded of these things, whether life is good or difficult at present, and God is good to us when by his Holy Spirit He reminds us of scriptures that can be of help to us. Psalm 40 has been in my mind at lot over the past few months, as I shared with folk at Bridges. But its good to know and to hold onto the fact that God will `lift us out of the slimy pit and put a new song in our hearts, even if at the time this seems a long way off. I have found that `pits can happen for many reasons, some maybe of our own making, some are life, and God will use them all to His purpose in making us more Christlike.
Ive also been reminded over the past few months, and recently at the AGM, of the `armour of God (Eph.6v10-18). My prayer is that I will not just remember this, but that I will also put the words into action, maybe then I will avoid some of the `pits!
How about you - are you using the `armour of God fully? I hope so.
Take care
Julie
